Good Harbor Vineyards began with the idea of providing all people great wine at an affordable price. There shouldn’t be a barrier for anyone to enjoy a tasty wine, so the Simpson family began their journey back in 1970 when Bruce Simpson studied viticulture and oenology at the University of California Davis. Post-graduation, he and his wife, Debbie, planted the vineyards and opened Good Harbor Vineyards as the fourth winery on the Leelanau Peninsula. Many years of research and sampling have helped create the extensive grape list we grow today. The brother-sister team of Sam and Taylor Simpson now own and operate the winery fueled by the passion passed on through two generations.
